Betfair established its reputation in horse racing for offering superior odds, leading to greater fairness for the bettor. Meeting the challenge of moving into other growing sports, we negotiated sponsorship of the Ashes Test Series, creating bumpers featuring two betting mad cricket fans and the line “Less fair or Betfair.

 

Results: Betfair’s move into cricket precipitated a seismic change in their business model. Not only did cricket deliver their biggest ever one day market, it also led to separate divisions for Horse racing, football, cricket and all other sports.
